Casiguapo entered in Amsterdam Stakes (Gr. 2) at Saratoga on Sat., July 26

July 24, 2014 by Keith Haag

Multiple graded stakes placed Casiguapo (Sightseeing – Emerald Buddha, by Buddha) looks to knock down his first stakes victory this Saturday, July 26th at Saratoga in the Grade 2 Amsterdam Stakes. The chestnut colt seems to have taken well to his return to the Saratoga dirt after posting a solid 4 furlong workout in 47.50 on July 19th over the same track where he ran second in the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes last September. Casiguapo was bred in Kentucky by the University of Kentucky’s Maine Chance Farm on a donated season and was last seen closing strong to get up for second in the Cherokee Run Stakes at Gulfstream Park on July 5th. Good luck to owner All American Horses LLC, trainer Mario Morales, and jockey Jose Lezcano. Post time for the 6 1/2 furlong contest is 4:57 PM EDT. View the full entries for the race here:
