So it begins! Endeavor Farm welcomes a beautiful foal out of Blondz Away as the first young whippersnapper of the year. The chestnut filly by Langfuhr was foaled just before midnight on Friday, January 20th. She is a half-sister to current stakes winner Colonel Samsen (by Colonel John). Congratulations to the breeders of this foal, CJ Thoroughbreds & Casner Racing LP. Here’s to a good start to Foaling Season 2017!
Served Cold, a daughter of Greeley’s Conquest, got her racing career off to a great start by winning first ask in a $24,000 maiden claiming event at Gulfstream Park West on Thursday. The two year old chestnut filly won by a clear margin of 3 3/4 lengths after leading gate to wire in the 6 furlong contest and picked up $12,000 for the victory. Served Cold was bred in partnership by Richland Hills & CJ Thoroughbreds and was foaled and raised here on the farm before being sold as a weanling for $8,500 in the 2013 Keeneland November sale. As evidenced in the photo above, the filly was leggy and flashy as a baby with lots of chrome and was just as cute as could be! We love nothing more than to see horses that were born and raised here go on to achieve success on the racetrack. Congratulations to all the connections of this filly, owner D & D Stable, trainer Manuel Estevez, and jockey Orlando Bocachica. Let’s hope this is the first of many victories for Served Cold, we look forward to watching this filly continue her career as a racehorse!
