July 5, 2014 by Keith Haag

Twilight Eclipse, a 5-year-old son of Purim, looks to add to his already stellar resume with an entry in the Grade I United Nations Stakes at Monmouth Park on Sunday, July 6th. The bay gelding, trained by Thomas Albertrani for West Point Thoroughbreds, was bred in Kentucky by Epona Thoroughbreds. In addition to being a multiple graded stakes winner of over $720,000, Twilight Eclipse currently holds the world record at 1 1/2 miles on the turf with a time of 2:22.63, set in the Grade II Pan American Handicap at Gulfstream Park on March 23, 2013. Best of luck to his connections who hope he runs big in his second start since returning from Meydan Racecourse in Dubai.
